Our Mission

“The Western Cape Furniture Initiative was established as a Section 21 Company (non profit organisation) by representatives of organisations in the furniture industry, with the main purpose of facilitating programmes in order to assist companies to address manufacturing, supply chain and other issues that affect employers and the Industry as a whole, and to consequently create more jobs.

  • Members should support the aim and objectives of the WCFI
  • Obtain approval from the WCFI prior to use of WCFI Logo
  • All requested information will be treated confidentially and will be used collectively for research purposes.
  • Purchase locally manufactured goods when possible, before importing products.

Please note WCFI is a voluntary association and is therefore not obliged to automatically accept applicants.  Every applicant is screened to ensure that members are of the highest standing.
